Shared Address Books
This feature of Ocean Mail Server allows address books to be created which can then be shared with users. This information can be accessed through LDAP, which allows downloading of entries into mail clients, or through WebMail, which merges the user’s address book with selected shared address books. This feature is useful to large organisations which want to share important contact information.

 

Shared Address Books

  • Shared Address Books - This displays a list of all shared address books.


Add / Edit Shared Address Book

  • Name - This is the name of the shared address book.
  • Address Book Entries - This displays a list of the shared address books entries.


Add / Edit Shared Address Book - Add / Edit Shared Address Book Entry

  • Common Name -This is also known as the nick name. This field is required.
  • Email Address - This field is required.
  • First Name - This field is optional.
  • Surname - This field is optional.
  • Organization - This field is optional.
  • Department - This field is optional.
  • Street Address - This field is optional.
  • Town / City - This field is optional.
  • State / Province - This field is optional.
  • Country - This field is optional.
  • Zip / Postal Code - This field is optional.
  • Telephone No - This field is optional.
  • Description - This field is optional.
